All we know for sure is that it was before his death so we seem to be dealing with an old Will - see note (2) below. (2) Date of Death: Is recorded on the Inventory of his goods which states "who deceased 11th March 16989 ". There are 2 slight problems with this :- (a) The Inventory itself is not dated and it is unlikely that they started recording his goods etc on the day he died, so did he die earlier and this is actually the date they appraised his goods or was the inventory actually taken after this date. Probate is dated 23rd Jan 1699 which has to be 23rd Jan 1699/1700. At this date problems in correctly assessing the year during January to March abounded, particularly between the clergy, the educated and the courts, which is why eventually we changed to the Gregorian calendar in 1752 from when the start of the year changed to 1st January. The logical conclusion of all this is that his burial was probably recorded in the missing 1697 bishops transcripts and was a few days after 11th March 1697/8. I have added a note and link to this explanation in the parish burial register. (3) The Rev. Henry ROBINSON MA (c1660-1705) was Vicar of St Georges Church in Fordington fron 1683 to 1701. (4) Thomas WYATT DD (1632-1723) was a Canon of Sarum and surrogate to the Dean of Sarum who at this date was Stephen (5) Prebendary of Fordington and Writhlington Genealogical Notes by Peta Winzar: (6) Robert WINSOR married Ann (Unknown) and they had at least six kids as shown below.
